9/12/19 - Capt Ben Ricks
INSHORE REPORT - Hey guys, Capt. Ben Ricks of Ricks Brothers Outdoors here. The Old Drum bite has been great, however the wind has made fishing difficult. On calm days the popping corks work well, but on windy days bait fishing seems to pay off. The trout bite continues to be fantastic. Popping corks with and artificial shrimp as well as jigs seem to be producing best. With the falling temperatures the topwater trout bite will start to fire off soon. Slot redfish and flounder are scattered around as well. If I can help you please give me a call (252) 333-9332.
EZ Tackle of course is stocking Blabber Mouth Corks for the Old Drum and has introduced the FULL LINE of Four Horseman Corks. These corks are great for the Old Drum and the smaller ones are especially effective for Speckled Trout!
