8/1/19 - Dwayne Bevell

CATFISH - The Neuse in Wayne and surrounding counties has begun to fall once again with the high temperatures and less than plentiful rainfall. This has not slowed the bite and out Annual EZ3 Catfish Tournament is in full swing. Anglers have had the best luck fishing Eels and Live Panfish in deeper holes where the water is cooler and cats are held up. The FLATHEAD bite has been extraordinary and a few Blues are being weighed in. When they are, they always have belly full of muscles and Clams!!
