The water is warming up and bass have started making their was into spawning areas, fighting off bluegill and perch. This makes it a great time to throw spinner and chatter baits. Crayfish patterns are also hot as well as soft plastic baits imitating lizards and anything the bass see as a threat in their spawning areas.

My go to is a BOOYAH COVERT double Colorado Blade Spinner Bait, in white and/or chartreuse. The ZMAN JACK HAMMER paired with a RAZOR SHAD trailer is also particularly deadly and a great presentation to these aggressive fish. Have fun catching those big pre-spawn females!
