Bay River, NC

Blue bird skies and a South wind usually slow the bite, not today!

Some of the crew took a break today, catching a variety of species on the water in the Bay River. Water temps in the mid and upper 50’s through out the day provided a consistent bite until sundown. Water was clear, and as expected the fish were found in transitional areas from the back of main creeks into the larger river.

Fish were caught on soft plastic paddle tails, jerk baits, and popping corks. With popping corks being the most productive. Both citation trout were produced on DOA Shrimp - and we had our youngest crew member land his first “Paper Fish”.
